The city of Nanaimo's new transportation plan is more a wish list than a plan. Its goals seem admirable: Doubling the number of trips throughout the city via transit, cycling and walking to 24 per cent, from its current 12 per cent, over the next 25 years. Then having bicycle trips in the city skyrocket to 15,000 from its current 3,000.
