Halifax is ready to get active
Residents of Halifax, Nova Scotia, will soon have a better opportunity to step out of their cars and enjoy their hometown after city officials approved a new five-year active transportation plan, according to Metro News. The expansive master plan passed in 2006 set the framework for this infrastructure overhaul to gear it more toward the people who choose to walk, bike or make use of public transportation, but this new strategy builds upon the shortcomings that have fallen through the cracks over the years.
