Calgary - City hopes future carpool lane network will improve transit and daily commutes

City administration released a long-term vision for Shaganappi Trail in January which included ample room for sidewalks, bike lanes and carpool (or HOV) lanes. It’s the first of many corridor studies along major routes expected to be released in the coming years, many of which will include plans for HOV lanes, says the city’s director of transportation planning, Don Mulligan.
