Last fall, councillors gave a frosty reception to earlier plans for a long-range overhaul of the corridor, including separated bike lanes and narrowed traffic lanes. Instead, plans for new sidewalks and bike lanes will be merged in multi-use pathways, while automobile lanes south of Glenmore will remain 3.66 metres wide, rather than slimming to as little as 3.3 metres, which would likely slow traffic.
